ITINERARY (Guwahati- Guwahati)

DAY 01Arrive at Guwahati Airport, Drive Down to Bomdila

Meet and greet at arrival after that transfer to Bomdila.
Check in at the hotel, visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (If time Permits)
Evening we will visit the local market and overnight stay at Bomdila.

DAY 02Bomdila To Tawang

Post breakfast start your ride for Tawang.
On the way, enjoy the view of Sela Pass(13,700 ft) and Sela lake, A little drive of about 10 km will land you at JaswantGarh War Memorial.
Later visit Nuranang Falls.
Overnight stay at Tawang.

DAY 03Tawang Monastry, Buddha Statue & War Memorial light show

After Breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of 400 (17th century) old Tawang Monastery which is the second largest monastery in the world.
Visit Buddha Statue & Ani Gompa (If time permits)
In the evening, we visit the war memorial and experience the light and sound show.
Overnight in Tawang.

Day 04Bum la Pass, China Border, Sangetsar Lake

We start early today to explore the beautiful lakes and valleys at the higher reaches of the region.
On our way to our first stop, the Penga Teng Tso, we drive through what was once the battlefield. From there we head to the uniquely beautiful Sungester Lake, also known as the Madhuri lake of Koyla (Bollywood movie) fame.
Finally, we head towards the India-China borderat Bum-la and spend some time at the border
before starting our return journey to Tawang.

DAY 05Drive to Bomdila, Enroute Visit Dirang

Today we move towards the hidden gem of north east India; a quaint village called Dirang and Visit
Dirang Monastery (Thupsung Dhargye Ling)
Visit Sangti Valley spend some leisure time here and Later visit Stone village of monpa tribe.
Reach Bomdila and Spend the rest of the evening, strolling through the market area.

DAY 05Bomdila to Guwahati & Departure

After breakfast, move to Guwahati airport or Railway station.
Start early in the morning to reach on time.
Depart with a lot of amazing memories.

Any additional cost incurred due to changes in Government Guidelines related to travel/trek/COVID-19 will be borne by the travellers
Anything not mentioned explicitly in the above program.
Additional Costs due to Flight Cancellations, Landslides, Roadblocks, and other natural calamities.

Cancellation Policy

No cancellations will be taken over call or whatsApp msg. Please reply in email with payment receipt that you have received at the time of booking.
No Show . No refund.
If remaining payment is not received 7 days before the event start date, Your slot is assumed to be cancelled.
Incase of government orders, harsh weather conditions , protests , landslides or any other unforeseen circumstances , we work out the best possible alternate plans or trips/treks. At times even certain activities are cancelled , the organisation provides the best alternate but no refunds are provided.
If a trek is called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.), Offbeat Compass will issue a trek voucher for the full amount and if possible will provide an alternate trek. The voucher can be redeemed upto same amount for the same trek or another trek in the next 365 days from the trek departure date.
If a trek or trip cannot be completed due to natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.). No refund would be provided.
Any extra expense coming due to any natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rain, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh, Train Cancellations etc.), Will be beared by customer. Offbeat Compass will not be liable.

REFUND POLICY

30 days or more prior to the departure date: 90% of the total package fee refundable
Between 21-30 days prior to the departure date: 60% of the total package fee refundable
Between 20-11 days prior to the departure date: 30% of the total package fee refundable
Less than 10 days prior to the departure date: No refund
No show: No refund
No refund will be made if a participant is unable to complete the tour/trek/adventure activity owing to medical conditions or any other reasons, after starting the tour/trek/adventure activity

Is this trip for me?

If you are crazily in love with backpacking and road tripping, then Tawang Itinerary is meant for you. If you have never felt how driving through the world’s most treacherous road and standing on the world’s highest inhabited village feels, then this trip is for you.

Is there any trekking involved in the trip?

There is NO Trek involved in this trip. It’s just Nature and You

What is the maximum altitude we will hit?

15200 ft at Bumla Pass.

What about the level of physical fitness?

A person with reasonable fitness can join the group.

I am Women/Girl.Is the Trek/Trip safe for Me?

Yes, We always make sure that we take proper precaution in regards of girl’s safety. We have female Trek/Trip Captains who have explored every trek/trip, Offbeat Compass has, in regards of the facilities, sanity and safety of a female trekkers/travelers.

We require a minimum of 5 participant to confirm the event
If in case, we fail to obtain the required minimum number of participants. We would initiate full refund or transfer to another event for the same departure date. (Option of transfer shall be subject to payment/refund of balance amount if any)
