Kedarkantha is considered one of the best winter hiking location and trek in Uttarakhand, India. Altitude at summit is 12500 feet, It is one of the best trek to full fill your satisfaction about trekking. This trek is quite special because it has stunning views of the entire mountains from Day 3 of our hike. Today Kedarkantha is the topmost trek of Uttarakhand Himalayas. Kedarkantha is an incredible place to hike, stay and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The Trek is a classic winter trek that provides a great opportunity for trekkers to explore something new about the nature, and experience the life of remote villages of Garhwal Himalayas.

First snowfall usually occurs around Nov end. However, the main snow season lasts from mid December to March end.

Yes, there are 2-3 trekking gear rental stores at village Sankri. Our staff at Sankri will guide & help you regarding renting essential trek gear as per your requirement.
First two days temperature is normal as you don’t find snow. Afterwards you can see the snow but in day time sunlight is good and weather is clear but you have to dress yourself in layers in night. The temperature will be between 10 to -8 degrees.
Average walking distance is 4-5 km an each day. As trek is easy so walking will not be a problem for anyone.
Always trek leads by professional Trek leader who complete Basic and Advance mountaineering course and certified in first-aid course and along with one local guide, cook, helper, porter and other staff.
Normally we take 15-20 people in one batch including male and female.
