Itinerary
• Pickup from RK Ashram Metro Station, Gate No. 3
• Departure time between 11-12:00 (Mid Night)
• Exact departure time will be shared one day prior in the group
• Travel by AC Semi Sleeper Bus
• Overnight journey towards Rishikesh
• Continue the drive to Barkot, situated at an elevation of 1,220 meters in the Uttarkashi region.
• As you gain altitude, the temperature drops considerably, so carrying sufficient warm clothes is highly recommended.
• Upon reaching Barkot, complete the check-in process and relax for an overnight stay.
• Take proper rest and get ready for the next day’s adventure.
• After breakfast, drive towards Jankichatti, the last motorable point situated approximately 50 km from Barkot.
• Upon arrival at Jankichatti, begin the trek to Yamunotri Temple through beautiful mountain trails lined with tea stalls, water points, and resting areas.
• The trek is moderately steep and generally takes around 2 to 4 hours, including short breaks along the route.
• Reach Yamunotri, the sacred origin of the holy Yamuna River, and spend time experiencing the spiritual surroundings while seeking blessings at the temple.
• After darshan, start the return trek to Jankichatti and later drive back to Barkot for an overnight stay.
• Enjoy the picturesque drive featuring dense forests, flowing streams, and ever-changing Himalayan landscapes throughout the journey.
• Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, complete the check-in process and unwind after the day’s travel.
• Spend the evening relaxing and recharging before continuing the next phase of the yatra.
• Unlike Yamunotri, Gangotri is directly accessible by road, allowing a smooth drive up to the temple. On arrival, spend time exploring the surroundings, taking in the views of the towering Himalayan peaks, and attending darshan in the calm, divine atmosphere.
• After completing the visit, begin the return drive to Uttarkashi / Gangotri area for an overnight halt, resting and preparing for the next phase of the journey.
• Travel through long mountain roads surrounded by changing Himalayan landscapes, dense forests, river valleys, charming villages, and traditional terrace farms.
• Reach Sonprayag / Sitapur, a spiritually important region situated at an altitude of approximately 1,829 meters and considered a key stop before the Kedarnath pilgrimage.
• Upon arrival, complete the check-in process at Sitapur / Sonprayag and relax after the long journey.
• Take proper rest and prepare for the next day’s spiritual journey towards Kedarnath Dham.
• Wake up early and get ready for the Kedarnath darshan day.
• Bathing facilities are not available at the stay; participants are advised to manage
accordingly.
04:00 AM – Departure Towards Gaurikund
• Start early due to heavy crowd movement and traffic regulations on the
Kedarnath route.
• Jeep transfers to Gaurikund may take extra time during peak season.
• Participants using Mule / Doli services must travel independently.
05:00 – 06:00 AM – Trek to Kedarnath Begins
• Begin the 16 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath Temple.
• Trek duration depends on weather, crowd, and individual pace.
Late Afternoon – Arrival & Darshan
• Reach Kedarnath and proceed for darshan as per the token system.
• After darshan, check in to the stay, have dinner, and rest overnight.
• Start the downhill trek towards Gaurikund, maintaining a steady and comfortable pace throughout the route.
• By evening, reach Sonprayag. Due to heavy crowd movement and local traffic restrictions, jeep transfers to Sitapur may not be available.
• In such situations, participants may need to walk from Sonprayag to Sitapur, which is common during peak yatra season.
• Arrive at the stay by night, complete check-in, have dinner, and take proper rest after the physically demanding day.
• Enjoy the scenic drive through Himalayan roads, mountain villages, river valleys, and changing landscapes along the route.
• A short halt will be taken en route for lunch and refreshments.
• By evening, arrive at Badrinath, where the temple is directly accessible by road without any trekking involved.
• Spend time visiting the temple and experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of the sacred town.
• Overnight stay will be at Badrinath / Govindghat for a peaceful overnight halt.
• The journey is long and travel duration depends on road conditions, weather, and traffic along the Himalayan route.
Darshan Contingency:
• If Badrinath darshan could not be completed the previous day, participants will wake up at 03:00 AM for early morning darshan.
• The return journey towards Rishikesh will begin immediately after darshan.
• Reach Rishikesh by evening, approximately around 06:00 PM. However, an additional buffer of 4–5 hours is considered due to possible traffic delays and road conditions.
• AC Semi-Sleeper bus boarding from Rishikesh to Delhi will be around 11:00 PM, marking the official conclusion of the yatra for participants traveling with the group.
• Participants are strongly advised to plan onward travel only after 12:00 PM to avoid missed connections or last-minute inconvenience.
• Keeping a sufficient buffer is important considering the long-distance mountain travel involved during the yatra.
• It is also recommended to book flexible or reschedulable tickets, as travel timings in the Himalayas may change due to factors beyond operational control.
